Merry Christmas

Hi everyone,

This year has been great. The teachers have thoroughly enjoyed it and we hope the students have too. We want to congratulate all the students for all the many things they have accomplished this year. We are also thankful for how polite and co-operative they have been. Good luck to all the students next year and keep up the great work!

Merry Christmas! Enjoy your holidays and have a happy new year.

Grant Ellis, Tony Irvin and Caryn Gommers.

Bike Ed

Last week our Bike Ed came to an end with a relaxing bike ride on the Warburton Trail. We all made it Mt Evelyn Skate Park where we stopped for a snack and rest. The kids did very well at practising their skills, in particular, forming a single file when other people were on the track.

A huge thank you to the parents and relatives that helped on the day. It wouldn’t have been a success without you.

Edmodo

4E Students, can you please add the Edmodo app to your ipad. It is a place where we can share what we have done (like Seesaw except Edmodo can add video) and we can reflect on our own and other’s work.

This is the link to be a part of 4E 2015- 4j4hks

It can only be accessed by members and Mr Ellis allows people to join the group as members.

Choir

IMG_4841Last week the school choir performed 4 songs at Chirnside Park Shopping Centre. From all accounts they sang really well and were great representatives of our school. Well done girls!

Programs to add

Please add iTunes U to your ipad if you don’t already have it. Can you then click the + button to add course and then use this password to get into our biology course: FRL-WCT-CYE.

It is our biology unit for the rest of the term. There is a link to materials at the bottom of the page. Can you please add the apps that are there (they are free). You can have a look at all the things we will be doing and try the apps, but we will be doing this in class so don’t get too carried away.

Also, can you please add the apps Edmodo and Mathletics (for students).

QR Codes for Co-ordinates

QR codes

The Grade’s 3 and 4 have been learning about mapping. One of our activities we have been doing is using the QR Reader on our ipads. We had to find words using co-ordinates around the school. The words made a sentence. It was awesome.
